Let receiving communities define their priorities, assets, constraints, hopes, and measures of value.

Purpose

Center community voice before program design and carry that voice through implementation, review, and next decisions.

Guided steps

  1. Identify whose voices belong in the conversation.
  2. Use open questions about assets, needs, history, and current work.
  3. Return a summary for correction and confirmation.
  4. Translate confirmed learning into shared design choices.
