Why private-home residency needs deeper preparation
Living in another person’s home creates forms of access and vulnerability beyond those present in a workshop or hotel retreat. The process should therefore establish identity, references, expectations, boundaries, health and safety planning, emergency contacts, transportation, confidentiality, and a clear ending before arrival.
A layered reference process
Professional or ministry references can speak to reliability, judgment, communication, and role conduct.
