How Evidence Breadth Strengthens Spiritual-Gifts Scoring
Learn how Evidence Breadth reveals balanced, concentrated, emerging, and mature spiritual-gift patterns beyond a total score.
A total can conceal the pattern
Two participants can receive the same total for a gift while carrying very different evidence. One may report high resonance and practice with limited fruit, confirmation, and stewardship. Another may show moderate scores across every dimension. Evidence Breadth preserves this difference.
How breadth is calculated
Every gift has five items, one per evidence dimension. Scores range from zero to four. Evidence Breadth counts the number of dimensions scoring three or four. The breadth score therefore ranges from zero to five.
Strong convergent signal
A total of at least 16 with breadth across four or five dimensions indicates a strong pattern supported by several kinds of evidence. The participant should still examine context, calling, character, community, and time while considering deeper service.
Strong total with concentrated evidence
A total of at least 16 with breadth below four indicates substantial scoring concentrated in fewer dimensions. The report invites examination of breadth. A supervised experiment can clarify the dimensions that remain less developed.
Developing and emerging signals
Totals from 11 to 15 represent developing evidence. Totals from 6 to 10 may reflect an emerging or contextual expression. Opportunity, role, season, culture, and recent experience may influence these patterns.
Using breadth in formation
Facilitators can match the next step to the missing evidence. Strong resonance with limited practice calls for opportunity. Practice with limited fruit calls for feedback and skill development. Fruit with limited confirmation calls for broader observation. Capacity with limited stewardship calls for accountable formation.
